Celebrating Natural Hair for Black History Month


I haven't spoken much about Black History Month which ends tomorrow, February 29. This is why I thought it would be fitting to share some of ToniDaley80's Black History Series with you today. Toni did a series of natural hairstyle tutorials inspired by notable women in black history. Keep reading to be  learn more about and be inspired by these women and try one of the hairstyle that you like.


Nina Mae McKinney
Nina McKinney was one of the first African American film stars in the United States and one of the first African Americans actresses to appear on British Television. She worked internationally in film and television after getting her start on Broadway and in Hollywood.





Ida B. Wells 
Ida B. Wells was a fearless African-American journalist, newspaper editor and suffragist. Her husband was an early leader in the civil rights movement





Mae Carol Jemison
Mae Jemison is the NASA Astronaut who became the first blackwoman to travel in space when she went into orbit aboard theSpace Shuttle Endeavour on September 12, 1992.
